NYP Corp. has enjoyed over 60 years of success that began with a $10,000.00 Veterans
certificate to purchase surplus materials from the federal government. Two GI's saw
their hard work servicing the post-war bag industry result in growth that required moving
from their original Bronx location to the present Elizabeth, New Jersey site. Not,
however, without some minor challenges: a fire that burned the new site to the
ground; Conrail depositing one of its trains in the boiler room; and a beetle infestation
transported from the exotic hinterlands of Asia. The original partners not only
persevered, but also prospered with the support and aid of their customers. The
basis of their operation has always been...PRIDE and INTEGRITY.
Today, the sons of one of the original founders, Gerald N. LaBelle, bring a renewed energy and commitment to the same original credo of PRIDE and INTEGRITY in bringing NYP Corp. into the new century. First and foremost, NYP is positioned to remain the leader in the northeast and a major factor in the US in its chosen markets. Expansion into a global economy with special emphasis on new market entries and new product development to achieve corporate goals are underway.
With several acquisitions and a merger during the course of its history, NYP is no stranger to modern day management practices. This will continue to be a part of NYP strategy well into the new millenium.
